Do you have old t-shirts that you do not wear anymore? Here’s an idea to upcycle them to a bag or whatever your creative mind cares to create. Let your imagination and design take over. No matter what, you cannot mess up art. There is always a way to create. Cut the t-shirts or any clothing or fabric, for that matter, in strips. Set them aside. Cut a piece of cardboard for however large you want your bag or project. Cut slits across the top and bottom. String fishing line or a strong spool of thread through the slots and weave different strips of clothing through the string over and under the strings all the way around. Tie the ends together when you come to the end of a strip. Continue to weave throughout and continue to press the strips down to the bottom after you weave a few rows, keeping it tight. When you reach the top, tie it off and you will have completed your project.
